HOFFMANN------------------------ Step One: As a group you will research your story. You will need to answer the questions on the research page. Step Two: Pick a few moments from the story that you want to reenact in your play. Step Three: Choose what characters you want in the play from the list of people involved in the story. You can also choose to have a narrator who tells part of the story and sets the scene. Step Four: Write the dialogue for the players. Decide who in your group will play the different parts and have each person write their own dialogue. You will want one person in your group to create a Google Doc for the play and then you will work together on different computers to add your dialogue for your character. Much of this dialogue will need to be imagined, but it should be consistent with what you know about the real life person. Step Five: You will perform the play (about 5 minutes) for the class and I will film it (if I receive permission slips) Here are some links to help you in your research: http://www.history.com/topics/black-history-month http://www.infoplease.com/spot/civilrightstimeline1.html Civil Rights Play Options: I do not want two groups writing about the same event.
